Eligibility Requirements

Upon release of AKSU post UTME screening application forms, many applicants just jump at it without confirming if AKSU accepts AR (Awaiting Results). Let it be clear to you now, AKSU DOES NOT accept awaiting result. You must have meet the following:

(1) ONLY Candidates who scored 140 and above in the 2025 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) their First Choice Institution, are eligible for screening.

(2) In addition, each candidate must possess credit passes in at least five (5) subjects including English Language at not more than two (2) sittings. Check HERE for list of JAMB approved courses and their correct subject combination.

(3) Direct Entry candidates must be holders of A’Level/ND/NCE/HND/First Degree in relevant discipline and subjects.

Uploading of O’Level Result

(1) All candidates are to upload their SSCE results online through the University’s website (www.aksu.edu.ng/portal)

(2) Candidates are advised to ensure that their O’level results are also uploaded in JAMB Portal, appropriately.

(3) All uploaded documents must be clear and legible. Blurred or unclear documents will lead to automatic disqualification.

(4) Any candidate who fails to upload his/her results and other relevant academic qualification (original) will NOT be considered for admission by the University.

Requirements for the Screening Exercise

The under listed are required for AKSU post UTME screening exercise.

1. 2025/2026 UTME Result slip showing candidate’s photograph in colour.

2. 2025/2026 JAMB DE printout (Direct Entry applicants only).

3. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result and Scratch Card(s) details as may be applicable.

4. Diploma, NCE or A-level result or certificate (Direct Entry applicants only)

5. Birth Certificate

6. Certificate of origin.

7. Certificate of Medical Fitness from approved Government Hospital.

Application Guide For AKSU Post UTME/DE Screening Form

To submit an application for Akwa Ibom State University, visit the school portal at and generate
Pre-Payment Analysis Slip. Follow the steps below:

Step 1 – On entering into the school portal, click on start now on the Login Page

Step 2 – Click ‘Enroll’.

Step 3 – Enter your Jamb Registration Number and click Next.

Step 4 – Proceed to make payment of NGN 2000.00 registration fee (excluding bank charges).
Note: Payment can be made via Debit card or Bank Deposit Nationwide. If payment is made at the bank, repeat steps 1-3 then continue with registration.

Step 5 – Click to upload your passport-sized photograph (passport must be between 20kB and 50kB) and click Next.

Step 6 – Enter your O-level result details (School Name, Exams Year, Exam Type, Exam batch (Internal/External) and grades for each subject)
Note: Awaiting results candidates are to select the awaiting result option from the exam type drop down and leave the o-level details fields empty.

Step 7 – After Entering the O-level result details click Next.

Step 8 – Upload the Scanned copies of your documents (Certificate of Origin, Original Jamb Result, O-level Result, Certificate of medical fitness,2022 JAMB DE printout(for DE only) ) in jpg format with a minimum size of 120kB and maximum of 150kB.

Step 9 – Preview the details entered to ensure it is correct.

Step 10 – After confirmation, click the ‘Finish’ button to generate the registration confirmation slip.

AKSU Post UTME and DE Form Closing Date

The deadline for the sales and submission of AKSU Post UTME and DE screening form for the 2025/2026 academic session has been extended to Friday, 18th October, 2025. Any form submitted after this date will be null and void. Portal will be shut down 12:00 midnight.
