The management of Lagos State University has announced after a meeting was held at the Babatunde Raji Fashola building, Ojo Campus, reached a conclusion that the central online clearance for newly admitted candidates will commence from Friday, September 27 2024 at exactly 10.00 am.
The meeting, which had in attendance members of the clearance committee, including members of the university management, deans, faculty officers and staff of the ICT and Admissions Office, was chaired by the vice chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni.
Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, in her address to the members said all hands must be on deck to enforce a swift and seamless clearance for fresh students, insisting that henceforth, freshers must get their matriculation number from their first day in the university.
The VC further stated that the flow of clearance exercise will begin with the students submitting their data using the LACACA platform. The ICT will then clear the student, followed by the responsible faculty officer, to the responsible dean of faculty and finally to the vice chancellor.
Payment Procedure for LASU Online Clearance Fees:
Freshly admitted candidates into Lagos State University for the 2025/2026 academic session are expected to partake in the online admissions clearance exercise through the LASU Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA).
Upon completing your clearance exercise, at the end of the LACACA operation, you will be assigned matriculation numbers, while unsuccessful candidates will be considered to have forfeited their offer of provisional admission.
Please note that you are expected to have made payments for acceptance, medical, and clearance fees before starting your online clearance.
Please follow the underlined steps for the payment procedures:
Step I – Visit lasu.edu.ng/consult
Step II – Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the field labeled “Matriculation Number/Application Number.”
Step III – Provide a valid email address and phone number.
Step IV – Click Continue.
PROCEDURE FOR COMPLETING THE LACACA OPERATION
Step i – Visit the LASU Website – https://www.lasu.edu.ng
Step ii – Hover over the STUDENT tab and click on UG LACACA.
Step iii – Enter your UTME registration number and surname, then click Submit.
Candidates are expected to complete the following on the dashboard:
(a) Validate your basic bio-data details.
(b) Verify your disability status.
(c) Upload O’Level scratch card details.
(d) Upload your original birth certificate.
(e) Upload your original UTME results.
(f) Upload your original JAMB admission letter.
(g) Upload your scanned signature.
(h) Submit the application by checking the “I Agree” text box, then click Submit.
Step iv – At this stage, the admission clearance progresses to 20%, and the documents will be submitted for further scrutiny by dedicated university officials.
Step v – Candidates should check the progress of their admission clearance, as necessary attention may be required based on the uploaded documents.
Step vi – Candidates with errors requiring correction will need to pay for such corrections on the LASU payment portal – https://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment.
Step vii – Upon reaching 100% clearance progress, successful candidates will be able to print the LASU Admission Clearance Certificate for the 2025/2026 academic session and will be assigned a matriculation number.
Rejected students are advised to check their portal and note the reasons for rejection. Some may need to visit the Admission Office on the 3rd Floor of the Senate Building, LASU main campus, Ojo, for further guidance.
